TWO FRANKS

Two Frank’s are better than one.

Chryssie and Angie approached us to brand their café, though we didn’t initially realise just how much history lived in the shopfront. The space had operated as a butcher for over a century, with only two owners in that time—both, coincidentally, named Frank. The name Two Franks became the perfect tribute to the site’s past and a nod to its place in the community.

Taking cues from the shop’s legacy, the local neighbourhood, and the sisters’ warm, approachable offering, we set out to create a brand that evoked the feel of an old-school deli or corner store.

The identity centres on a rich olive green—drawn from the olive trees in the sisters’ garden—and a bold, imperfect typeface that echoes traditional hand-painted signage. The result feels both nostalgic and distinctly local.
