Creating a suite of seaside characters for one of Melbourne’s favourite restaurants Pipis Kiosk.

Tom and Jordan are the two owners of Pipis Kiosk in Port Melbourne, Victoria. Some years back they won the tender to fit out an iconic beachside kiosk, which has now become the stunning restaurant and kiosk, Pipis Kiosk.

The initial brand identity was created by a small Melbourne based agency which unfortunately is now closed. At the time the branding was being completed, Tom, alongside with the agency tasked me with creating a suite of illustrations that would champion some of the typical creatures you would find at the beach. The brief was to add a bit of cheekiness/humour as the restaurant, while being serious in terms of their offering, still wanted to have a playful element to it, reflected in their down to earth and friendly service.
